WGEM's general manager and vice-president, Ben Van Ness, expressed his excitement about the expanded partnership with both the St. Louis Cardinals and Kansas City Royals. "The WGEM family of stations is proud to bring fans these exceptional baseball experiences free and over-the-air. With games airing throughout the spring training and regular season, there are numerous opportunities for families across the Tri-States to make lasting baseball memories together."
This partnership will bring you free and over-the-air access to select games from both teams, including spring training games and some regular season matchups. The expanded Home Plate programming partnership with the St. Louis Cardinals will give you access to the team at every level of the organization, while the continued partnership with the Kansas City Royals features the historic broadcast of the team's home opener, the first free over-the-air home opener broadcast since 2007.
