This year's grant recipients include Friends of the Historic Midwest Theater and Legacy of the Plains (Japanese Hall), among others. These grants support a wide range of projects, from technology and display cases to educational events, audiobooks, and speaker expenses. The program has become a signature initiative since its launch in 2020, helping local museums, historical societies, libraries, educational organizations, and community groups bring Nebraska history to life. The Nebraska State Historical Society Foundation has awarded over $345,000 in grant funding to date, with a second grant cycle added in Fall 2024 to meet increasing demand. This initiative reflects the NSHSF's commitment to preserving and promoting Nebraska history in all 93 counties, ensuring that Nebraska's stories remain accessible, relevant, and inspiring for future generations.
